Lots of folks are bringing in finished projects during our July promotion. The pocket pictured above is from Kathy’s beautiful sweater. You can see the full photo here. We love the Zooey yarn she used. Make one for yourself in Kathy’s workshop! Her knitting workshop schedule is here.
Jandell finished this shell made from Hempathy. The i-cord edges make such nice finish.
So far I have finished 3 items: The sundress ready-to-smock in the photo above (that’s my friend Shirley in her first sweater!), a top and shorts set, and this embroidered towel. The sundress only need straps to be finished, the top needed a hem and button, and the towel was missing just a few leaves and buds. It feels so good to get them done!!
We are planning lots of new projects for the fall to tempt you, so get those old UFO’s finished and claim your 30% before July 31st!
I have a goal for July: I am going to finish as many lingering projects as possible. I have LOTS. I have several new things I need to start for Christmas (!!). I’ve got to get some things out of the way.
I have declared July to be my UFO (Un Finished Objects) month. Ironically, July 2 was World UFO Day, but we are talking a different and more pervasive (like kudzu) UFO.
Jandell is joining me in my FO quest and I hope you will too. Bring in a finished project made with materials purchased at Knit One Smock Too. Let us take a picture to post and we will give you a 30% off coupon to use for one purchase during the month of July.
We are offering UFO workshops for projects that need to get un-stuck: maybe a sweater that needs sewing up, an embroidery project to finish, a smocking project that needs a boost. Check the class schedule here for days and times.
Finished projects have started coming in!
You can view details of these projects at our Flickr site.
Guess I’d better get started!!
Have a great long weekend and definitely take time to stitch!
