Vintage Farmhouse

August’s Project

Jonnie’s Whatnot Club is in full swing.  Each month the members are making a new mini quilt.  They are all so cute and soo do-able in a month’s time!001 208

If you haven’t been able to to join this Fall’s Whatnot Club, never fear.  Jonnie has made a beautiful larger quilt from Kim Diehl’s Vintage Farmhouse fabric line.  The pattern is a free one.  You can download it on the Henry Glass website here.  The pattern has an option for a table runner also!  The colors are glorious.  Rich and vintage.  Laura Davies did custom machine quilting that finishes it perfectly.  Here is her blog post with some great close ups of Jonnie’s quilt.

We’ve got kits made for this quilt, and the full Vintage Farmhouse line.  Stop by or call the shop (336-765-9099) if you’d like one.  If you’re not local, we’ll ship it to you!

October Dreamin’

Here is this month’s beautiful Dream Club selection!  The yarn is Classy: a worsted weight,oct3 100% superwash merino.  It’s soft and yummy and the photo doesn’t do it justice!

The  exclusive pattern only available to Dream Club Members is designed by Laura Nelkin.  The Dream Club folks say, “She is well known for her beautiful designs, and we were thrilled when she agreed to design for our Dream Club! She’s created a mobius cowl that is a stunning match to our October yarn. Her “Cruzado Criss Cross” stitches allow long, beautiful stretches of the yarn to show off, beautifully showcasing the varied colors. Incorporating several interesting techniques, the Cruzado Cowl is a knit that will keep you interested from cast on to bind off. This pattern is fully written with no charts.”

Call the shop with your plastic this morning to reserve your hank.  Better yet, stop by so that you can select your favorite.  They are all uniquely beautiful.  I am having a hard time returning the skein on my desk to the box…

Hope you can join us for our Dream Club workshop on Thursday.  Details are here.
