Holiday thoughts and our Holiday Shop Schedule

This year we added  Churchmouse Yarns and Teas patterns to our shop.  We love them!

Here is a part of their email Christmas message and it’s just too good not to share:

“So if there’s a project still unfinished, just wrap it up, needles and all, with love and a promise. It’s time for a little peace.

And that’s the true Christmas message, isn’t it? Whether you celebrate Christmas as a secular or religious holiday, it’s about peace.

Peace in every step. Peace in all the little things — each word, each gesture, each stitch.”

My other favorite Christmas wish for you is found at The Sugar Box Blog.  Kendra lives in Greensboro and has a fun blog and a great baking business.

Enjoy the days and hope you have lots of stitching time!

December Dream Club

1111IMG_7937The Dream in Color folks have done well this month (as usual!).  Yummy blues and greens and a nice, substantial worsted weight mean that this cowl can be completed by the Big Day for gifting.  This month’s yarn is  Classy with Nylon – 75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon, 340yd per skein, spun and dyed in the US.  Beautiful!!

This month’s exclusive pattern is actually 2 patterns:  a knitted cowl and a crocheted cowl!  Here is how the Dream in Color folks, describe it:  “Melissa Leapman has created two beautiful designs to accompany this month’s special Dream Club yarn. In addition to the standard knitting pattern, for the first time we are offering a crochet option! Both designs are gorgeous cowls that look stunning in the greens, blues, and golds found in the December colorway. ”

This one won’t last long!  Call with your credit card to reserve your skein or stop by the shop ASAP!

As always, hope you can take time to make some stitches today!!
