I was so excited when this yummy set of pre-cuts arrived, I immediately texted this photo to Shirley and Jandell at the Heart of The Triad Quilt show on Friday. You’ll notice I didn’t take the time to remove the plastic wrappers!
We ordered this fun collection back in the fall because we loved the vintage/modern feel of the fabric and the scrappy look of the quilts. My favorite is Midnight at the Oasis. It reminds me of the combo of colors and black and white used by MacKenzie-Childs. Jandell’s favorite is Hexie Kisses.
The designer of all this loveliness is Jen Kingwell. She is a good friend of our own Lee Monroe. The Triad Modern Quilt Guild is hosting Jen and her trunk show at their meeting May 26, 6:30 p.m. at SouthFork Community Center. Admission is $5.00 and is open to all!
We’ve stocked Jen’s Green Tea and Sweet Beans book for a couple of years now. It’s full of beautiful applique. The southerner in me wants to call it “Sweet Tea and Green Beans.” (I always have to stop and think…) Hopefully Jen will get a taste our kind of tea and beans while she’s here!
