Happy May! It’s the season of gifting: graduations, weddings, new babies, teacher gifts. For some of us it’s also a smart time to get started on Christmas gifts. Not all of us (me, for example) do the smart thing, though!
It’s also the first day of a new Knit-along at Berroco and I’m participating. The details are here.
Here is the Ravelry link with the “rules” and the sign-up if you’d like a chance to win the full Fall 2015 pattern collection. I’ve seen the new patterns and they are fabulous!!
The project is this beautiful baby blanket/shawl/throw. I’m knitting it in the same Berroco yarn and color as the photo. Not very imaginative, but I really like it. My friend Christie is making it in Comfort Chunky as a Christmas gift for her grandmother. My friend Sandi is doing it in Comfort Worsted for a baby.
We have the yarn in stock and several copies of the booklet (which has several other projects I’d like to make!)
We can also help you purchase the digital version of the pattern through our Ravelry Pattern Sales account. We’ll print it for you, send the digital version to you via email and the pattern also goes into your Ravelry Library–you’ll never lose it!
There are several advantages to buying patterns this way. One being you’ll receive all corrections to patterns you have purchased. I just discovered there is a correction to this pattern (scroll down to the bottom of the page). It’s always a good idea to look up pattern corrections on Ravelry or on the publisher’s website before you begin a project!
I think I’m going to cast on using Emily Ocker’s Cast On. And I’m using the Magic Loop instead of using dpns. Come join me!
Call the shop if you’s like some help getting started and then join us on Friday afternoons for Sit and Stitch and KAL with me!
Have a wonderful weekend! I’ll be pulling weeds, knitting and working on an embroidery project as much as I can!
