This is the final installment of the Dream Club until September, and, oh my goodness, it’s a good one! The Yarn is Classy with Cashmere, a worsted weight skein of softness. It’s a superwash combination of merino, cashmere, and nylon for durability and easy care. Each skein is unique: some are deep and rich, and some skeins are light and fun. Come by soon to pick your favorite.
This month’s pattern is for a soft, cozy pair of slippers. Knitted from the toe-up, they are finished with a fun three-needle bind off. I love learning new techniques on small projects! This pattern is only available with the purchase of your yummy skein of Classy.
If you’re more into fabric and thread, here are a couple of photos from our booth at the Needle Art Extravaganza in Statesville this past weekend. Shirley, Susann, Jandell, and Jonnie work so hard to make our booth fabulous! They have spent months planning and stitching new projects for you. We have patterns and kits for all these cute new items. If you’re local, stop by. If you’re not so local, call us–we ship!
Come stitch with us!
Not the bread, but the knitting stitch!
This month’s Dream Club yarn is a gorgeous two-skein kit. The yarn is Canyon, the newest yarn from Dream In Color. It’s chunky, 100% grown-in-the-U.S. wool. You get one skein of a shaded gray and one skein that’s shades of green with little pops of blue-green. Beautiful colors!
The pattern is knit in two color brioche stitch. A fun, but challenging, stitch! Jennifer has become quite experienced with brioche and is hosting a class to get you started. One class will meet Saturday, December 12 and one will meet on Thursday, December 17. You can sign up for the class when you stop by to pick up your kit and the pattern code!
This month’s Dream Club selection is a mix of beautiful blue-grays and soft reds. The yarn is a limited edition blend. Jilly with Silk is 85% superwash merino and 15% silk. Each skein has 400 yards.
The November pattern-with-purchase is this adorable slouchy hat. It features cables and a brioche rib plus my new favorite tubular cast-on. This cast on makes such a nice rounded edge to your hat.
The Dream in Color folks are sponsoring a monthly contest in the Dream Club Ravelry group. At the end of the month they will be awarding a skein of yarn (retail value $30+) to two randomly chosen participants, and they will also award a bag of yarn to the LYS where the kit purchased! To be eligible to win, the participant must post a picture of their FO in the thread, along with where they purchased the yarn. This year, entries may also be submitted by uploading the photo to the Dream in Color Facebook page or uploading the photo to Instagram (@dreamincoloryarn). Any project knit with the Dream Club yarn is eligible, it doesn’t have to use the club pattern.
See you in the morning!!
