I’m late, I’m late!

I’m feeling like Alice in Wonderland’s White Rabbit. I meant to post this in plenty of time for you to stitch BEFORE Easter, but these are also great projects for all Spring.

eggWendi’s Shiny, Happy World newsletter arrives in my inbox every Monday morning full of inspiration and tips for embroidery, quilting, and sewing (and sometimes a great recipe!).  I love it.  Here is the link to her Easter Crafts Page.  I still want to make some of these Easter Eggs with our hand dyed wool.  We also have the Sulky Fabri-Solvy and Transfer-ese that are used to get your pattern onto the wool.  Quick, easy and cute!!

bunnystecker-04-natasnestI love these cute crocheted bunnies.  Don’t panic when you see the German instructions–English follows the German!

happy_easter_medium2For knitters, I can’t resist these sweet eggs from Julie Williams of Little Cotton Rabbits (click over to see the bunnies–love!!).  I have also knit her Mini Stockings and several Hedgehogs.  Her patterns are well written and easy to follow.

Our friend Christie made these treat bags for us last Easter.  The pattern and instructions are here with more designs here.  They were designed by Amy Sinbaldi of Nana and Company, who also offers a tutorial for this Easter basket!

The shop will be closed today, but all who work at KOST are enjoying working on and planning new projects for you!

Jonnie is working on this applique piece for her new Beginning Applique Class that starts in February.  She will be hand quilting her finished sample!  Love the fabrics and colors!

Speaking of color, Jennifer is brightening up these gray days!  The photo above is a tunic Jennifer has completed and is writing up as a pattern for you.  Below left, Jennifer is finishing up her second gauntlet of a pair knit in our Malibrigo Rios.  Below right is her crocheted version of the Amalfi poncho.  Kathy is teaching the knitted version in February.  Maybe Jennifer will do the same for crochet!

Jandell and Kathy are also working on ponchos.  Jandell is making the pretty blue felted tweed into the Churchmouse Easy Folded Poncho and Kathy is finishing her Twice Reversible Ribbed Poncho.  Both patterns are available at the shop AND Kathy is teaching both in February.  Stay tuned!!

Whew!  Those are some busy stitchers.  And that’s not everyone!  I’ll be back with Part 2 of our activities later.

Until then,

Happy Stitching,
