February Dream Club and a Taste of the Show

Image 2

This is the final installment of the Dream Club until September, and, oh my goodness, it’s a good one!  The Yarn is Classy with Cashmere, a worsted weight skein of softness.  It’s a superwash combination of merino, cashmere, and nylon for durability and easy care. Each skein is unique:  some are deep and rich, and some skeins are light and fun.  Come by soon to pick your favorite.

This month’s pattern is for a soft, cozy pair of slippers.  Knitted from the toe-up, they are finished with a fun three-needle bind off.  I love learning new techniques on small projects! This pattern is only available with the purchase of your yummy skein of Classy.

If you’re more into fabric and thread, here are a couple of photos from our booth at the Needle Art Extravaganza in Statesville this past weekend.  Shirley, Susann, Jandell, and Jonnie work so hard to make  our booth fabulous!  They have spent months planning and stitching new projects for you.  We have patterns and kits for all these cute new items.  If you’re local, stop by.  If you’re not so local, call us–we ship!2016_01_29_0209

Vintage Farmhouse

August’s Project

Jonnie’s Whatnot Club is in full swing.  Each month the members are making a new mini quilt.  They are all so cute and soo do-able in a month’s time!001 208

If you haven’t been able to to join this Fall’s Whatnot Club, never fear.  Jonnie has made a beautiful larger quilt from Kim Diehl’s Vintage Farmhouse fabric line.  The pattern is a free one.  You can download it on the Henry Glass website here.  The pattern has an option for a table runner also!  The colors are glorious.  Rich and vintage.  Laura Davies did custom machine quilting that finishes it perfectly.  Here is her blog post with some great close ups of Jonnie’s quilt.

We’ve got kits made for this quilt, and the full Vintage Farmhouse line.  Stop by or call the shop (336-765-9099) if you’d like one.  If you’re not local, we’ll ship it to you!
